In May 1948, the excellent Barcelona orchestra known as Grand Casino was playing at the elegant Pasapoga night club in Madrid. This ensemble had arrived in March preceeded by great prestige at national level, thanks to the long string of artistic and discographical hits through the mediation of Adolfo Araco, the Cuban pianist ( who had actually been born in the Basque Region of Spain), they became acquainted with Teresita España, a Spanish singer and dancer from Seville who had enjoyed enourmous fame during the Twenties, when she even manage to appear on the stages of New York. Teresita España was the wife and personal assistant of Víctor de Correa, owner and artists manager of the celebrated restaurant and night club "Tropicana" in Havana, Cuba.
